Do we truly know the person standing next to you, or a family member? Secrets are personal but also, in this case, deadly.I was highly impressed by Ms. Clover's story plot and characters. Decided to provide my honest review).After reading the first two books in the Pelican Cove Cozy Mystery series, Berries & Birthdays was somewhat of a disappointment. The book did not have the focus or the crispness that has made the series a pleasure to read. I thought the storyline had too many competing interests which made reading a bit confusing and more difficult than necessary.MY RECOMMENDATION: Neutral. –Tex Berries and Birthdays: A Cozy Murder Mystery (Pelican Cove Cozy Mystery Series Book 3)
This was delightful to read. It was informative in a lighter sense about the nazis and Jewish people during the war. But to ruin an American holiday with the murder of a man turning 100 years old, was a terrible crime! But there were a number of possible killers and Jenny had the know how to fret them all out! With a little help from her friends!
Every book is better than the previous one. I am enjoying learning more about Jenny and her family and friends. Jason and Adam both seem good candidates for Jeremy for different reasons. She is a good and loyal friend. The background of the town was very interesting.
I really enjoyed this cozy mystery. The story line was interesting and the writing was easier to read than her first book of this series. I love the characters and their friendship with each other and the overall setting. I would encourage my friends to read this series.
Some of the writing did not flow, and there were times it seemed as if the next fewsentences, which would have provided transition to the next paragraph, were missing.However, the plot was interesting and different.That, I enjoyed.
This is the best one so far. The ending was a real surprise. My favorite character is Star. I like the banter between Jenny and Adam.
where we learn the whole truth about the dead man, which is interesting; but ending the book focused on that stupid love triangle is irritating.
