I like the book. Some interesting recipes. My own experience with cayenne pepper is what led me to get this book. A few years ago I was cursed with MRSA while in the hospital. The antibiotics I was given destroyed my bowels and left me crapping my pants like a baby. I was eventually able to regain control over my bowels with probiotics, HPLC creatine, and much diligence, but not a cure. Everything western med. had to offer carried a boatload of side affects including various cancers etc. I was able to cure the MRSA with Turmeric, garlic, oregano, and oil of oregano, but my bowels would not go back to normal. If I didn't maintain a fairly strict regimen of 10 grams of creatine daily the watery diarrhea would return. When I started the cayenne pepper (90,000hu), 1 teaspoonful (5 grams) in a cup of water, I drank it down pretty fast before it could set my mouth on fire. A few minutes later I felt ill but didn't vomit. I laid down for a while & soon felt better. I haven't had diarrhea since. Now I use a level tsp. in a bowl of soup on alternate days with my MRSA soup.
The book lists all the great health properties of cayenne pepper and I must say, I was impressed to see the many health issues can be prevented or treated using cayenne. The first part of the book goes through all those health issues and praises the cayenne pepper about how great it is for reducing or treating those issues. All good so far, but I would've liked to see what exactly do I need to do, how do I have to take the cayenne pepper in order to treat a certain health problem.My questions were answered in the second part of the book, where the author included lots of recipes and treatments for each health issue. Nicely done.Great book overall, but some scientific proof of all the claims would have been a nice addition.
Oh my gosh! years ago I learned that cayenne pepper has many medicinal uses. I remember using it between my socks and boots in the winter to keep my feet warm. My aunt used it for just about everything but over the years I had forgotten just how versitile cayenne can be. We tend to forget that people were using these treatments succesfully long before big medicine came along.This book puts it all together in an easy to read format and Its so nice to have it at my finger tips. For sure I will start using more cayanne pepper now.
Having read Patricia's book on Natural Skin Care Recipes, I didn't hesitate to get this book when I came across it.I had no idea that peppers could be so versatile!From cures of sore throats to cleansing your sinuses, from warming your feet to being a digestive aid to aiding weight loss. There are TONS of ways that cayenne pepper is helpful in life!Seriously you need to read this book. Whether you intend to use the remedies or not, this book has serious fascination value!!
Everything you wanted to know about Cayeene Pepper and more. I didn't expect it to be as interesting as it was but it actually is very interesting. Cayenne pepper can be used for all types of diseases and pain. It can be eaten or applied. there are also recipes for different situations. The book has piqued my curiousity and made me want to know more. It answers all our questions.
I didn't realize hot peppers had so many medicinal uses. I happen to love spicy food (Thai Chicken with Coconut milk is one of my favorite dishes). Knowing I can make effective remedies at home using something I already eat on a regular basis is awesome. As a bonus, Cayenne Pepper is good for weight control. I'm adding it to all my sauces and soups from now on. Get this book and learn how to turn your food into natural medicine.
A helpful introduction on the many health benefits of Cayenne Pepper. I didn't realise, before reading this book, that it can be used in quite so many different ways. A very handy guide indeed!
