This book shows more pictures of the author. If destroyed those pictures and replace more recipes will be better for the book. The recipes are just Ok. Is not what I am expected. The north people have poor taste than the South.
I love Helen's YouTube channel and am delighted that the book is written as approachably as her videos. I am a very mediocre cook, but following her instructions is simple, and I've gotten some pretty decent results.
Bought this for my daughter, she loves Pho. She prepared a tecipe that very week I gave it to her & she said it was well written, easy to follow& the recipe was delicious!

The book has beautiful layouts and designs. Helen has brought us some of the best Vietnamese cuisines recipes from her hometown. I also love all the photos in the book. For me, it's more than a Vietnamese food bible, having the book in my kitchen is simply my happiness.
